On the 11th April 2026 the Hungerford Bowls Club marked the start of the new bowling season with the ceremonial Green Opening. The club invited members to attend in their new smart new kit featuring new shirts and navy blue sports trousers. The new kit was made possible by two of our sponsors, Mr John Williams of John Williams Financial Services and Audley Inglewood, Kintbury.

As members will be aware from the A.G.M. in November 2025 the committee have been working on a five year plan for the club.
Members were contacted via email and asked to complete a survey. The results of the survey and the plan have been approved by the club sports committees and are now available to all members.
It is essential that we have a plan to help us adapt and thrive into the future. I very much appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into producing the plan and fully endorse it’s goals and objectives.
A copy of the Hungerford Club five plan is now available for members to read, click on the link below.
The results of the referendum have been declared and may be read at https://www.hungerford-tc.gov.uk/hungerfordNP (opens in a new tab). The result was declared on 27 November 2025. From the votes recorded, 758 voted ‘Yes’ to the NDP, and 218 voted ‘No’. The turnout of electors was 22%.

Members who are resident within the Hungerford parish will have received a polling card for the Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan referendum within the past week.
From conversations in the clubhouse it is clear that many members do not know how to access the neighbourhood plan to inform themselves on the plan on which they are being asked to vote.
As a public service we are posting a link to the West Berkshire website. Members may then access the various documents and the referendum draft of the Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan.
