Sunday lunches are £10.00. Deserts are £4.00 But we are reviewing our prices due to increases in the cost of the raw ingredients.

Renew membership 2022

Use this form to apply for, or renew, your Hungerford Club membership for the Bowls or Indoor Sports sections.

The Tennis section uses the LTA Clubspark site to administer membership.

Bowls Membership Renewal

The Bowls section has a membership secretary who handles their renewals by emails and the post. Members of these sections may, therefore, renew their membership without visiting the club.

Indoor Sports Membership Renewal

In the past the Indoor Sports section members have had to visit the club to collect a renewal form from the club bar. Once completed members would hand the form to the bar staff and pay the subscription whereupon a receipt would be issued. Please be assured, members may still do this when the bar is open.

We are aware there may be Indoor Sports members who would like to renew their membership without having to visit the bar.

Please follow these steps to renew your Indoor Sports (social) membership without having to visit the bar.

Download the renewal form by clicking the “Download” button above. Save the file rather than opening in your browser. If your browser opens the document then use the icons (usually top right) to download or save a copy.
The form should be saved to your Downloads folder. Locate it and open the form in a PDF viewer (Adobe Acrobat on Windows, Preview on Apple Macs).
Complete the form and save it. Do not open in a browser – you may not be able to save your completed form.
Use a bank transfer (details on the form) to pay the subscription. Please use your name as the payment reference. Click here for details of the subscriptions.
Finally, please send an email to hungerfordclub@icloud.com and attach the completed form. Please include in your email the date of the bank transfer.

New Defibrillator is live.

Recent visitors to The Hungerford Club can’t fail to notice a defibrillator box has appeared to the right of the club entrance.

We are pleased to announce that, as of 13:00 on Tuesday 18th Jan 2022, the defibrillator went live with the emergency services.

If you recall there was a fundraising campaign, via The Good Exchange, that completed in July. The club ordered the defibrillator and it was delivered late last year.

The cabinet that protects the defibrillator requires an electric supply. This is used to charge the batteries and to power a small heater that regulates the temperature within the cabinet. The supply circuit was connected last week paving the way for the cabinet to be mounted on the outside wall of the club. The unit went live after commissioning tests and updates to the emergency services database were complete.

As a piece of life saving equipment, the defibrillator has to be ready for use 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. To ensure this is the case weekly and monthly checks have to to be completed. After use, there has to be a more thorough check and the replacement of parts.

Should the defibrillator be needed dial 999 and ask the responder.

Importantly, while the defibrillator is owned by the club, it is there for the benefit of any member of the public.
